It Bags are popular brands of designer handbags or they also can be a particular style or type that becomes extremely popular. The name emerged in the 1990s and is still fairly well used among authentic designer handbags followers.
One of the more well known It Bags is the Chloe Paddington which was produced originally in 2005 and sold out the first production before they even went on the market due to preorders. The Paddington has a soft but heavy look and feel. Made out of leather the handle has the appearance and shape of headphones with rounded ends connecting to buckles on the bag. The trademark of the Paddington is the padlock found at the top right below the handles. Sales of the Paddington continued to do well into 2006 and are still sought after at boutiques and online auctions.
Another IT Bag which has stood the test of time fairly well is the Marc Jacobs Stam which was named after actress Jessica Stam. The handbag has been popular for the past four years and new editions keep being produced and bought up by the public. The bags features a thin leather handle buckled to a framed top. The bag's body is soft leather with stitched quilt-like designs, kiss lock top and zippers on the side.
One more Designer It Bag showing it can stay popular with the tempermental fashionistas is the Fendi Spy Bag. This leather bag was super hot a few years ago and has seen many variations. It still has loyal followers who love it's unique design and look. The design is simple and chic. The handles are weaved together in an unique way that also feels good in the hand. It's a confortable designer handbag.
Some say the designer handbag industry is more geared towards creating more variety of designer bags and that the people who buy designer handbags aren't looking for the It Bags anymore. The leather bag industry, or more specifically the leather handbag industry, continue to make a variety of designers handbag that the public keeps buying.
Personally, I think the It Bags will continue to have their day though. What's the next It Bag going to be? We'll just have to wait and see, but the three listed here are proof that they are here to stay.
